Punishing Child – Is it Justified?
‘Spare the rod, spoil the child’ this adage says that no punishment to a child will only result him in being a spoiled brat all through his life. I’m not sure how many people like to hit their children, but believe it or not, it looks like many ’schools’ use ‘corporal punishments’.
And the eligibility criteria for receiving ‘corporal punishment’ are not doing home work and other ‘unexpected’ behavior! There was also a statement from a court that it was impossible to teach kids without using ‘punishment’!
I’m not sure what I can say about it, but I know that punishment only incites fear in children, and an afraid mind cannot learn lessons!
