EK CUP CHAI

Looks like I have new stories coming up for me. But they all look like the old ones. How? Well here is just a glimpse of what’s happening in India.

Our P.M. is going to struggle. Someone, called Qattrochi, has been arrested in Argentina, and the Government choose to give the information to the nation after ‘few weeks’.

Well who’s Quattrochi – he is an influential man, the mention of whose name stripped Rajiv Gandhi of Power in 1989. This gentleman is seen to be the key to solving the Bofors Scandal! Well ‘Bofors’!

May be the P.M. could have handled this issue, if were alone. But he has two more issues to worry about, non-samjhautha over “Samjhautha Express” blast and Inflation around the time of Budget!

Again, he could have sort the Inflation thing alone. But ‘together’ these problems look like they are going to be too much for anybody. I should say, the UPA government and Mr. Manmohan Singh should consider themselves lucky if they will hold to their seats till the end of April – 2007. Who knows what Sonia Gandhi can do to our P.M. But off late she has lost her form (forgot UP?)

Talking of ‘form’, looks like Saurav Ganguly is making the best of his ‘coming back to form’. He is going to be on ‘Koffe with Karan’! Well, who will he come along with Donna? (Or Nagma?) I think even this is going to be great oldish news. We all know how stars have used ‘media’ to make a strong come back!

Well sometimes I really wonder about the eternal relationship about entertainment, controversy and politics!

Oh! On the lines of controversy, I’ve just heard that people in Jalandhar have staged a protest against the film ‘Nishabd’. Problem – a love story between 60+ year old and and an 18 year old is against Indian culture. Well Old News isn’t ? Water, Black Friday, Fire you make a movie about ‘truth’ – and you are ready to face the ire! Well what next they will burn the effigies of Amitabh, Ram Gopal Varma, and as soon as they get a chance – will ‘watch the movie’ to say out that the movie is really BAD!

Hmm…looks like we have this great attachment towards our great old stories. Don’t we?
It will be fun to watch what happens in these oldish tales?
